Women’s Empowerment Event Next Month.

Antigua and Barbuda are organizing a special event aimed at empowering women in the region.

The VIP International Women’s Day Conference is set to take place on Friday, March 8, which is International Women’s Day.

The event, which is in its second year, aims to inspire and motivate women to rise above challenges and barriers.

The theme of this year’s event is “Still I Rise.”

The organizers hope that every woman in Antigua and Barbuda will leave with the same theme in mind for the year 2024.

The conference will feature a range of speakers, including Octavia Nicholas, an entrepreneur, spoken word artist, and beautician who will share her inspiring story.

There will also be senior women in politics and the arts who will speak and perform.

The keynote speaker is Renee Edwards, a highly experienced Maintenance and Engineering Professional with over 19 years of experience in technical knowledge, project management, team leadership, health and safety, and administration.

Edwards is known for her innovative solutions that have contributed to the success of the organizations she has worked with.

The event organizer, Koren Norton, who is also a certified counselor, is encouraging all women to attend. The event promises to be a celebration of women’s achievements and an opportunity for women to network and grow together.

Tickets for the event can be obtained by calling Norton on 784-5015 or by purchasing them from Pro Lash on Friars Hill Road or on the Ticketing App for $200.

The conference will take place from 9 am to 1 pm at the Antigua Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute (ABHTI).
