Barbuda has reason to celebrate as it recently welcomed the official opening of a new green power station on the sister isle.

This achievement was made possible through the generous support of the United Arab Emirates government, the Government of Antigua & Barbuda, and other partners who collaborated to bring this modern power plant to fruition.

The state-of-the-art power plant was officially opened in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Barbuda MP Hon. Trevor Walker, marking a significant milestone for the sister island.

The new facility employs renewable energy sources to meet 100% of Barbuda’s daytime power needs, a remarkable feat that is set to revolutionize the island’s energy landscape.

The green power station is a testament to the government’s commitment to sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions.

It is expected to bring significant benefits to Barbuda’s economy, as it will not only provide a reliable and sustainable source of energy but also create new job opportunities and attract further investments to the island.

Overall, the opening of the new green power station is a significant achievement for Barbuda and a step towards a greener and more sustainable future.
