Jamal Pringle
The fate of Jamal Pringle, the Leader of the United Progressive Party, hangs in the balance as the delegate conference draws near.
A fierce competition is expected between Pringle and MP Richard Lewis
In a stunning turn of events, a widely circulated letter written to its members has surfaced, signed by four MPs and five caretakers, all supporting Richard Lewis as the next leader.
With tensions running high and the stakes higher than ever, the UPP must now decide who will lead them into the future. From all indications, the rank and file of the party does not Pringle to lead it into the next general elections.
“We write to you to register our strong support for Richard Lewis as the optimal choice for a leader of the United Progressive Party as we prepare to dispose of the wicked Gaston Browne administration in the next general election,” the letter states
They said Lewis is the most strategic choice for leadership of the UPP at this critical time.
“We arrived at this decision after weighing many factors, including Richard’s skills, qualifications, work ethics, institutional knowledge, vision, and ability to resonate with the populace,” the letter read in part
Additionally, the letter states that Lewis also brings unique insights, having delivered victory in an urban constituency that faced similar challenges to other constituencies.
Wait. What did I miss?
The UPP better go with what they have as a leader of the party. As old people loved to say that you know what you have but you don’t know what you are going to get. You think Gaston bad, you wait until the snake unshelled his skin.
Pringle and Richard are both former and educators. They both taught some of our children. They both are people persons. Pringle is more for the grassroots and pickie head people, while Richard pretends he cares but honestly, he is for more the up-class people.
