Antigua and Barbuda recently confirmed that a private jet belonging to the embattled rapper and music mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, landed in the country earlier this week with some of his family members on board.

Ambassador Lionel Hurst, the Chief of Staff at the Prime Minister’s Office, updated reporters at a post-cabinet media briefing.

Several reports circulated speculating that Diddy was in Antigua and Barbuda as his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by Homeland Security Investigations agents.

“He remains in the United States. His aircraft coming to Antigua is of little consequence. What I know is that several members of his family were on board, whether they planned they planned the trip or not, they have all left and he is in the US,” Hurst said.

It was also alleged that these raids were linked to a human trafficking case.

“We take the attitude that a person is innocent until proven guilty. That is how we operate in Antigua. The US will determine whether he is guilty and if they make any request of Antigua and Barbuda we are always happy to help,” Hurst said.

Hurst did not disclose who was on the private jet to protect the privacy of Diddy’s family members.

However, the announcement was made to clarify the situation and preserve the reputation of Antigua and Barbuda.
