ICC Trophy to Tour Antigua

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 ‘Out of this World’ Trophy Tour is set to arrive in Antigua and Barbuda this April, generating excitement among cricket fans in the region.

The T20 cricket World Cup 2024 is scheduled to be hosted in the West Indies and USA, and the Trophy Tour presents a unique opportunity for visitors and locals to get a glimpse of T20 cricket’s trophy before it is lifted by the winning captain at the finals in Barbados on 29 June.

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has invited a representative from your media organization to attend and cover the following activities as part of the tour.

The tour will kick off on April 16 with the arrival of the Trophy at the V.C. Bird International Airport from Barbuda.

The Trophy will be received by Senior Government and Cricket Officials at the Arrivals Hall of the V.C. Bird International Airport promptly at 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.

This event is open to the media and will provide an excellent opportunity for journalists to capture the excitement surrounding the tour.

On April 18, the Trophy Tour will continue with a city tour of St. John’s, the capital of Antigua and Barbuda.

The tour will culminate with an appearance at the Antigua Recreations Ground at 4 p.m. Here, members of the public will have the opportunity to interact with the trophy, take photos, and partake in the excitement leading up to the games.

The event will feature appearances by Chickie and Posse, Panache Steel Orchestra, and more.
