Two E-145 Jets that will make up LIAT 2020’s fleet are en route to V.C Bird International Airport from Nigeria and will arrive in Saint John’s on Tuesday afternoon.

LIAT 2020, the newly established airline, is making significant progress towards commencing commercial operations.

Today, it will mark a major milestone by welcoming two E-145 jet aircraft to its fleet.

These two aircraft will recieve grand water cannon salute upon landing at the VC Bird International Airport, and a ceremony is scheduled to take place at Terminal B (Old Terminal) this afternoon to commemorate this momentous occasion.

LIAT 2020 has already initiated demo flights under the supervision of the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority (ECCAA) while it awaits its Air Operators Certificate (AOC).

The arrival of the two-jet aircraft represents a significant step forward for the airline and brings it closer to achieving its goal of becoming the leading airline in the Caribbean.

The airline has invited government officials, stakeholders, and media to attend the welcoming reception for the two aircraft and their crew.

The official invitation expresses the hope that this historic event will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and that it will mark the beginning of a bright future for LIAT 2020.
