Antigua and Barbuda wins APAG Inter-Caribbean Grand Debate

You won’t believe what happened at the APAG Inter-Caribbean Grand Debate Challenge! Team Antigua and Barbuda just emerged as the CHAMPIONS of the competition!

They showcased their exceptional competence, leaving the judges and spectators in awe.

It was a breathtaking showcase of talent, as young English enthusiasts from all over the Caribbean engaged in constructive dialogue, articulated their viewpoints, and advocated for meaningful change.

The event was a significant milestone, especially after a year of virtual preliminary encounters due to the pandemic.

The team from Antigua and Barbuda included the 2023 Best Debater of the Caribbean Union Bank Inter-secondary School Debate, Jada Quinland – Sir Novelle Richards Academy, and the second-place winners Ti-ikha Edwards and Anya Hull from the Clare Hall Secondary School.

With their exceptional skills and captivating arguments, they were undoubtedly the frontrunners of the tournament, ultimately emerging as the ultimate champions of the competition!

The victory of Team Antigua and Barbuda is not only a testament to their exceptional talent and dedication but also underscores the significance of constructive dialogue and intellectual exchange in addressing the pressing issues facing the Caribbean and the world at large.

Education Officer with responsibility for Education Broadcasting, Ms. Alicia Knowles, expressed her delight at the win, affirming her commitment to ensuring that students in Antigua and Barbuda can participate in these events not only regionally but internationally as well.
