A man from the Dominican Republic has recently been extradited to the United States to face charges for several crimes, including murder.

Josué Antonio Mejía Medina was handed over to United States Marshals at Las Américas International Airport, under heavy security.

He was arrested by Dominican Republic police in February in the province of La Romana after the Supreme Court of Justice issued a decree authorizing his extradition.

The 27-year-old is set to appear before a court in Berks County, Pennsylvania, where he will face charges such as murder and aggravated assault. We hope that justice will be served in this case.
