CXC subjects suspended
The Caribbean Examination Council, CXC, has suspended four subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Exam (CAPE) levels due to low student enrollment.
The affected subjects are Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Science – Double Award, Green Engineering, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology.
This decision comes as a result of declining student engagement. The suspension will take effect in September 2025.
However, schools in the region can still request these subjects at an additional cost.
That’s bs with the advent of artificial intelligence these are the subjects that will be the most importance in the coming years
Decisions like These are Made Because We – as A People – Fail To Get into GENERATIONAL Planning on A Regional Scale ……..
Many of Our Leaders Reside in So So So Many Boxes as Individuals……..
Can We Not SEE that THIS Lack of UNITY is Slowly Resulting in Our Collective DEMISE……
Perhaps …..: There may be a Re-Think and Re-Focus And Some Research Carried out highlight Reasons for THIS Apparent Lack of Focus in THESE Areas —- especially in the area of Agricultural Science. Peace! 🙏🏿🌻😇🇦🇬
This an inconsiderate and money making scheme. How could a HIGHER SCHOOL OF THOUGHT, choose to deliberately put our youth at a disadvantage? SHAME ON THAT BOARD.
