Fire in the Piccadilly Area

A brush fire blazed through several acres of land overnight in the hills above Piccadilly, located in the southeastern section of Antigua.

The All-Saints Fire Station received a call at 7:10 on Tuesday night to respond to the fire.

Although the fire was initially burning in the hills and did not immediately threaten nearby properties, fire tenders were dispatched.

A standby approach was adopted, with a designated person ready to report should the fire begin to approach any property.

This incident marked the 52nd fire call for the year for that station.
