A jury has convicted Tedson Knowles of murdering Carissa Chandler, who was his common-law spouse.

The unfortunate incident unfolded in New Winthorpes on May 23, 2019, purportedly amid a heated domestic altercation between the couple.

Neighbour’s testified in the trial to hearing the argument between the two  followed by a loud bang.

A witness even claimed to see Chandler collapse and be picked up by the accused who drove her to the hospital.

A doctor also told the court that the deceased appeared to have been shot at close range from the front.

The pathologist concluded that Chandler’s cause of death was exsanguination, stemming from the severe blood loss inflicted by the gunshot wound to her chest.

Earlier today, a jury ruled In favor of the prosecution finding Knowles guilty as charged.

He will be sentenced on July 12.
