During a prestigious ceremony held in Monaco, Consul Garavaglia of Antigua and Barbuda was honored with the esteemed title of Academician of the Accademia della Cucina Italiana.

This academy, established in 1953, is dedicated to the preservation of Italian culinary traditions. The title of Academician is bestowed upon individuals who exhibit exceptional dedication to the promotion of Italian cuisine.
In his acceptance speech, Consul Garavaglia expressed his fervent desire to strengthen and promote cultural and economic alliances not only with the Principality of Monaco , but also between Antigua and Barbuda and Italy.

He noted the increasing trend of Italian tourists choosing the pristine beaches of Antigua and Barbuda for their vacations, underscoring the potential for further collaboration.
