The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) has launched an educational campaign aimed at informing registered voters about the procedure for obtaining new voter ID cards to replace expired ones.
ABEC has published a brochure in both English and Spanish outlining the necessary steps for voters to apply for and receive their new ID cards once they are issued.
The process of replacing invalid voter ID cards will commence on August 12 across all seventeen constituencies. The constituency offices will be open from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm from Mondays to Fridays.
Individuals seeking to replace expired voter ID cards must appear in person at the constituency offices and present two government-issued IDs, the expired cards, proof of address, and documents updating marital status.
ABEC has advised applicants that they may need to update their personal information in the system, including providing an updated photo, signature, and fingerprint validation.
