His Excellency the Governor General Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams were among persons in the St. John’s Rural North Constituency who began the process of replacing their Expired Voter’s ID Cards.

The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) has reported strong public participation in the early stages of its voter ID replacement process.

According to the latest statistics, a total of 1,581 individuals applied to replace their expired voter ID cards during the week ending Friday, August 23, 2024. Additionally, there were 88 new voter registrations.

Since the launch of the replacement program on Monday, August 12, the total number of applications for expired voter ID cards has reached 2,946.

The voter ID replacement process is being conducted at all 17 constituency registration units across Antigua and Barbuda.

This initiative is part of ABEC’s efforts to ensure that all eligible voters have a valid form of identification ahead of any upcoming electoral events.

Individuals with expired voter ID cards are encouraged to visit their respective constituency registration units to apply for a replacement.
