Indian Honorary Consul, Vijay Tewani and Prime Minister Gaston Browne

The resident Indian Honorary Consul, Vijay Tewani, seized the opportunity provided by the cricket match between India and Bangladesh at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium to engage in some ‘cricket diplomacy’.

Tewani, along with numerous Indian residents attending the match, utilized this platform to present jerseys from the Indian cricket team to Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Education and Sports Minister Daryll Matthew.

During the presentation, Tewani emphasized the strengthening of the bonds between the two countries through their shared passion for cricket. Additionally, he also conveyed a gift to the captain of the Indian T20 team, Rohit Sharma, as a gesture from the Indian community in Antigua and Barbuda.
