The Ministry of Education in Antigua and Barbuda has announced the results of the 2024 Grade Six National Assessment, indicating that 88 percent of students achieved acceptable grades.

Among the top five highest-scoring students were Elyze Henry with 385 out of 400, Naliyah Lewis with 383 out of 400, Keira Weekes with 382 out of 400, Jordan Lawrence and Erin Shen tied with 378 out of 400, and Jordan Weste with 374 out of 400.

A total of 1,288 students participated in the assessment, with an almost equal distribution between genders: 639 females and 649 males. Government schools enrolled 739 students (354 females, 385 males), while private schools contributed 549 students (285 females, 264 males).

 

Private schools over performed government schools with 83 private schools on the top list of 105 students.

The results highlighted a strong performance among female students. Specifically, the breakdown across performance levels showed 366 females and 304 males at Level 1 (highest), 219 females and 244 males at Level 2, 50 females and 85 males at Level 3, and 4 females and 16 males at Level 4 (lowest).
