A new Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) caretaker for the St. Phillips North Constituency will be chosen later today.
Sources within the party explained that voting will take from 4 pm- 8 pm at the Willikies Primary School with four candidates vying for the spot which is now being held by Sir Robin Yearwood Snr.
Whoever replaces the stalwart, will have major shoes to fill as the politician has decades of victories under his belt having never lost a general election.
His son, Robin Yearwood Jr will hope to walk in his father’s footsteps but there will be tough competition from Randy Baltimore, Dr. Oswald Thomas, and Telly Cornelius.
A total of 907 electors are eligible to vote.
If Robin Yearwood Jr wins, I feel sorry for the people can’t even take care of his family let alone a whole community of people left me to raise free children by myself with no help and support from himself so I don’t understand how he’s going to be able to support a whole community of people The only thing that Robin is good. I am a single mother of three children For Robin Yearwood Junior. I came on here to tell my truth. I understand that a lot of you don’t know me but I have no reason to lie about a man that stands up and takes care of what is his all I know is that I’ve been alone taking care of my children by myself with no help from Robin, but he’s out there painting a picture, of being a great family man and a father I know that this is a lie and I just wanted the people to hear my truth. I don’t need anyone to believe me but an amazing woman once said to me whatever goes on in the dark will come out in the light. I have no more to say I hope that Robin will step up as a man and a father and take care of his children. That is all I’m asking for, because at the end of the day he’s children are his future too and if he let’s them down he only has them to answer to.
