Leader of the Opposition Jamal Pringle

Opposition Leader Jamal Pringle has welcomed amendments to the 2013 National Statistics Bureau Act to make the Bureau more effective and independent in its data collection and reporting mandate.

Pringle said in Parliament on Thursday that the legislation brings the county’s policy in line with others in the region

He said it has been a challenge for persons to obtain statistical data in Antigua and throughout the Caribbean.
