Attorney General and Minister for Public Safety Steadroy Benjamin continued his weekly meetings with the leadership of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda to discuss the elimination and prevention of crime.

Minister Benjamin gave an update on procuring six (6) fire appliances, noting that the monies had been wired to the supplier and the appliances would be shipped within the coming days.

Discussions also focused on addressing the concerns of indiscriminate smoking in public spaces and suggesting ways to curb this practice.

The Attorney General reassured the Police of his commitment to providing the necessary resources to ensure the Police carries out its duties and functions.
