Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney

Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney has expressed his satisfaction and commendations with a team of police officers who were sent to provide much-needed assistance in Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines after Hurricane Beryl struck on July 1, 2024. The dedicated police contingent has now returned home after completing their significant assignment.

Commissioner Rodney took the opportunity to personally commend the officers for their exemplary work during a meeting at Police Headquarters on Monday, July 22, 2024.

The police officers expressed their gratitude for representing Antigua and Barbuda and for being able to offer essential security support to their OECS neighbors during such a challenging time.

Following the severe damage caused by Hurricane Beryl in Carriacou and Petite Martinique in Grenada and Union Island, Canuouan, and Mayreu in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda acted promptly by deploying both police officers and members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force to provide assistance as early as July 2, 2024.
