Faceoff 2024 cancelled

The promoters of Faceoff wish to advise the general public that due to circumstances beyond its control, the second edition of Faceoff scheduled to take place at Carnival City in collaboration with the National Festival’s commission on Friday July 26th has been cancelled.

The event which was conceptualized by Wintermanmusic was launched last carnival with an incredible showdown between Tian Winter and Friends versus the late Ricardo Drue and friends.

 The event which featured an all local cast of performers, drew thousands of spectators to carnival city.  

“it saddens me to have to cancel this event especially because of its primary focus of highlighting Antiguan artistes and the great music that we have been producing for decades in such a unique way” said Tian Winter of Wintermanmusic!  

When one considers that there aren’t many events which only features national artistes that attracts a large number of spectators like Faceoff did last year, the anticipation for the event this year, was at an all time high.

According to Wintermanmusic, several attempts were made at securing the best possible national talent to put on a show equal to the quality of last year show, however most of the primary artiste who received the call, turned down the offer.

Both Wintermanmusic and the national festivals commission sincerely apologise to the general public for the cancellation of this year’s show and for any inconvenienced caused.  

They however confirmed that Faceoff will be held on Friday July 25th 2025.
