Gov’t to install Biometric locks at various ministries

The Cabinet has approved the installation of biometric clocks at various Ministries, especially those where overtime is paid to employees.

The current manual system of calculating overtime and hours worked beyond the 8-hour day has proven to be inefficient.

The biometric clocks will automate the calculation of daily hours worked and, at the end of a pay period, determine the amount of overtime pay owed to each employee based on the hours worked and applicable rates.

This state-of-the-art clock and computer system is virtually error-proof and highly accurate, with reasonable acquisition and installation costs.

The use of biometric clocks is becoming increasingly popular in many countries.
