THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT: LIAT 20 TAKES TO THE SKIES

This morning at 11:30, an exciting milestone will be reached as the inaugural LIAT 20 flight will take off from V.C Bird International Airport bound for St Lucia.

The flight will kick off LIAT 20’s regular flight schedule. Over a dozen passengers, including government officials and journalists, will be on board.

The new service will initially operate three weekly flights, connecting Antigua to St Lucia and Antigua to Barbuda. Plans are underway to expand the flight offerings with more routes in the upcoming months.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne, speaking at the ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the LIAT check-in counter, expressed optimism that introducing LIAT 20, equipped with seven aircraft, will alleviate the challenges faced in regional travel.

He also emphasized the potential for significant economic benefits for the country due to this new service.

More details on this historic moment will be posted later.
