Young Vice wins Road March, Insane takes Band of the Year

Young Vice took centre stage at this year’s Antigua Carnival, winning not only the Soca Monarch competition but also the Road March title last night.

Judged during T-Shirt Mas, Jouvert, Monday and Tuesday Mas, the song “Gravity Falls” had everyone dancing in the streets.
Two other up-and-coming artists made their mark as well:

1. Kid Fresh came with “Top a da mawnin”
2. Tian Winter with “Cyah Contain”

In the Soca Monarch competition, the same three artists topped the charts, but Tian Winter and Kid Fresh switched places.
The carnival wasn’t just about music. The Band of the Year competition showcased stunning costumes and performances:

2. Myst
3. Sechuns
