Candlelight vigil for Keith Yearwood

Keith Yearwood

The National Festivals Commission and the Ministry of Creative Industries will organize a special candlelight vigil in memory of Keith Yearwood, a former staff member who passed away suddenly during one of the World Cup T20 matches at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Minister Daryll Matthew announced that the vigil will be held on Sunday, August 11, outside the office of the Festival Commission on Redcliffe Street.

He described Yearwood as a very helpful person who completed all tasks assigned to him without complaint. He also mentioned that Yearwood passed away while volunteering for Antigua and Barbuda, doing what he loved best.

Yearwood’s burial is scheduled for Monday, August 12.
