Antigua and Barbuda now under Tropical Storm Warning

A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the following areas: St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, Guadeloupe, St. Martin, St. Barthelemy, and Sint Maarten.

A Tropical Storm Watch is also in effect for the British Virgin Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Vieques, and Culebra.

The warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected within 36 hours, while the watch indicates that tropical storm conditions are possible within 48 hours.

The potential tropical cyclone is moving at a speed of 26 mph towards the Leeward Islands, U.S. and British Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. It is expected to become a tropical depression today and eventually strengthen into a tropical storm.
