Police Gun Stolen in Daylight Robbery in Point

You can now listen to Antigua News articles!

Earlier today, there was a robbery at a store in the area. This was the fourth robbery at the establishment this month.

During the robbery, a police officer who entered the store was overpowered and had his weapon taken by the thieves.

Shortly after, a large number of police officers arrived in the community to gather information and find the individuals who took the firearm.

Residents were worried because previous robberies at the same store did not prompt such a strong police response.

What skills do you use when you walk in on a robbery in progress? If he tried to pull his gun he would be shot dead on the spot

The officer needs a skill called situational awareness, also he could’ve announced he was a police officer with weapon drawn ready to return fire if fired upon . Basic escalation of force training. I guess they don’t teach that .

Try taking a police officer’s gun in the United States of America. Secondly if you walk in on a robbery the suspect with the deadly weapon getting shot first . The officer should have had some situational awareness as to what he was walking into. As a police officer you have to always be aware, especially if you are in uniform, beacause you are the first target. You are standing between the freedom of the ribbers. I have so many questions.
