Caribbean Soca competition postponed
KariSoca, a Caribbean Soca battle that was to take place last weekend, has been postponed until October 19.
The contest which will be a first for Antigua and Barbuda, will bring together top Soca talent from 12 Caribbean islands in a thrilling musical showdown.
Empress will be flying the flag for Antigua and Barbuda, while D Phillip Blackest represents the US Virgin Islands.
Barbados sends Christy D to the competition, and Trinidad and Tobago’s hopes rest with Rae.
Dominica has two representatives in Mr Gwada and Benji, showcasing the island’s rich soca tradition.
Lyrikal from Montserrat, Riggy from Grenada, and Eazi from Nevis will also bring their unique styles to the stage.
Rounding out the lineup are Imran Nerdy from St. Lucia, TR Shine from Belize, and Ras Kelly representing St. Kitts.
