Charity Dublin
Charity Dublin, Vice-President of the Antigua and Barbuda Diabetes Association, ABDA, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Healthy Caribbean Coalition, HCC, at its 9th General Assembly held virtually on July 16th 2024.
Dublin, a Public Health Nutritionist, is also a member of the Healthy Caribbean Youth, HCY, the youth arm of the HCC.
She will represent the voice of youth for the first time on the HCC Board of Directors.
Her election to the Board will also mark the first time that ABDA will be represented on HCC’s Board of Directors.
The Healthy Caribbean Coalition was established in 2008 following the historic Port of Spain Declaration of Heads of Government of CARICOM on Non-Communicable Diseases, NCDs, in 2007.
HCC is the only Caribbean NCD Alliance of over 100 health and non-health civil society organizations and has as its vision “the reduction of death and disability from chronic diseases among people in the Caribbean”. It is registered as a not-for-profit organization in Barbados.
