XPZ set to reopen soon

Residents are eagerly anticipating the return of a beloved local establishment finally have some good news, as XPZ supermarket is slated to reopen in approximately two months.

The store, known for its competitive pricing, is located on Sir Sydney Walling Highway and has been closed since a devastating fire in 2021.

The incident that led to the store’s closure was particularly shocking to the community.

Alex Feng, a former employee, was found responsible for deliberately setting the fire that destroyed the original building. This event, which made headlines at the time, left a void in the local retail landscape.

In an interview with Observer Media, the owner of XPZ shared promising news about the store’s reconstruction. According to the proprietor, construction work is expected to be completed by October of this year.

The new XPZ supermarket is being built on the same site as its predecessor, but customers can expect some significant improvements. The owner has promised that the new store will be larger and offer an enhanced shopping experience compared to the original location.

The owner has also confirmed that the staff roster will feature numerous local faces, potentially providing a boost to area employment.
