Prime Minister Gaston Browne will address the nation on Tuesday after meeting with the police force’s hierarchy and the Public Safety Minister Sir Steadroy Benjamin.

Discussions will be centered around the recent criminal activities in Antigua and Barbuda, including gang violence and robberies.

On Thursday, police were able to apprehend three suspects who robbed a superette in Parham. One of them was killed in a gunfire exchange with lawmen.

Hours later, the body of a former soldier, Kelsi Cain, was found lying in a pool of blood. The 27-year-old’s body was found near Blackman’s Estate. Police are treating his death as a homicide

The body of 15-year-old Achazia James was found on Runway Beach this morning. She was brutally murdered with chop wounds to the face and other parts of the body. Her hand also was severed.

And Yenifer Bridge, 16, was found dead on June 28th along Fig Tree Drive.

Authorities suspect she may have been kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and murdered, but the investigation is ongoing and awaiting post-mortem results.
