The 16th Annual Prostate Screening was held on Saturday, 17th August, 2024.  This event is a Signature Service Project by the Lions Club that resulted in 727 men being screened by Dr. Thwaites and his associates.

Registration began at 7am with a registration fee $35.00, medical history was taken, PSA blood sample was drawn at the Bio Health Laboratory station and the doctors’ examination concluded the process.

Medical Benefit Scheme was present to take blood pressure and sugar levels. The Antigua Falcons, a local cricket team were presented to showcase T-shirts and other items relating to their team.

“Your health is your wealth”, Lion President Kim Joseph expressed that early detection saves lives therefore she is enthusiastic that the Lions Club of Antigua can be apart of this great initiative in the cancer awareness fight.

Men are encouraged to take charge of their health and dismiss any phobias or mixed conceptions of the examination.

The Lions Club of Antigua wishes to thank the many sponsors who made this event possible.

They are hopeful that next year, numbers will increase in participation of this event and that a great service project by the Lions Club of Antigua can be provided for men in our community.
