Swaby and McKenzie to Appear in Court Today on Gun and Ammunition Charges

O’Neil Swaby of Bendals and 28-year-old Riccardo McKenzie of Sutherlands

34-year-old O’Neil Swaby of Bendals and 28-year-old Riccardo McKenzie of Sutherlands will appear in court this morning.

They were jointly charged with unlawful possession of one 9mm automatic pistol, and possession of seven rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Around 4pm on Monday, August 19, the police were acting on certain information when they intercepted a silver Toyota Belta motor car at Green Castle, Bendals with Swaby and McKenzie inside.

A search was carried out on the vehicle and the illegal weapon, along with the matching rounds of ammunition were found. Both men were arrested and taken into custody. They are expected in court on Wednesday.
