A Hispanic national named Michael Challenger, who resides in Bolans, was the victim of a hit-and-run incident on Market Street this morning.
The 39-year-old man sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.
Reports indicate that his left leg is broken in two places.
Michael managed to stay conscious and informed law enforcement that he was struck by a speeding grey car, which fled in the direction of Grays Farm.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing the dark grey car as it quickly departed from the scene.
Following the incident, emergency medical services promptly transported Michael to the hospital while the police initiated an investigation to locate the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
Authorities are urging the driver of the grey car to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
Additionally, anyone who may have witnessed the event or have information about the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle is encouraged to provide their assistance to aid in the resolution of this concerning matter.
