BELMONT & POTTERS WOMEN QUESTIONED FOR BOX HAND FRAUD

A Belmont and a Potters woman are being questioned by the police in connection with allegations of fraud.

Both women are reportedly the holders of “Box Hands” or “Sou-Sou”, and have allegedly defrauded their clients of thousands of dollars in savings.

The matter was brought to the attention of the police, after several persons reported their inability to collect their monies, and in some cases unable to contact them.

The police executed warrants at their seperate homes on Thursday evening and took them into custody.

Meanwhile, the police are advising members of the public to ensure they carry out their due diligence and background checks on persons who are holders “Box Hands”, before getting involved in these types of financial transactions.
