Ten secondary schools to face off in the second ‘Taste of Wadadli’

The Taste of Wadadli cook-off competition has been launched with ten secondary schools competing for a $10,000 prize.

The competition aims to showcase the culinary talents of young chefs. The event includes preliminary rounds at the Sir Novelle Richards Academy and a finale at the Antigua & Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute.

The competition is supported by the Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association, with the goal of nurturing the next generation of culinary professionals.

The competition was encouraged by the Executive Director of the ABHTA, and the involvement of the Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank was highlighted as a positive way for young individuals to channel their creativity.

The Ministry of Education also expressed support for the competition, which now forms part of the Home Economics calendar of events each year.
