The entire nation is proud of the achievements of Sir Curtly Ambrose and His Excellency Dr. Walton Aubrey Webson, who were recently awarded honorary doctorates by the University of the West Indies.
Sir Curtly Ambrose, the iconic former West Indies cricketer, received a Doctor of Laws degree in recognition of his legendary contributions to the sport, making him a global symbol of excellence and sportsmanship.
Ambassador Walton Webson, a leading voice in human rights advocacy and the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, was also honored with a Doctor of Laws degree for his relentless work in promoting global human rights.
Their enduring impact on the lives of many, both in Antigua and globally, has been truly remarkable, and the ceremony was a fitting tribute to their outstanding contributions.
Dr. Webson’s moving address to the graduating class of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus was a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience and using life’s lessons to forge a brighter path ahead.
Two men who deserve all the flowers they can get!
Congrats on the achievement Mr. Webson and Mr. Ambrose🥳
