OLD TERMINAL could be fully operational by next January

An airline out of the Middle East is looking to partner with the government of Antigua and Barbuda to retrofit the old V. C Bird International Airport Terminal Building. Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez made the disclosure in a state media interview. The hope is for the structure to be fully operational by January 2025
“They are looking to perhaps partnering with us to take that over because they want to bring their own carrier in. That’s something we’re in early discussions with and that’s something we’d like to happen as early as next year, ”he said.
He also spoke about another development as it relates to the civil aviation front as he welcomes the return of weekly flights by German carrier Condor. “That’s very important. It’s an additional opening for us in terms of Europe. We’re hoping that that will allow for us to add other gateways through Germany coming to Antigua.”
Fernandez also highlighted developments within the tourism sector which has recorded several success this past year including record arrivals in both air and seas. “Cruise lines are going to pass 800, just under 900,000. The air arrivals should be between 325, 350, around a thousand.
“The big boat show first week of December is totally sold out. We have yachts, mega yachts want to come and they can’t…there’s no berth in space for them”, he said.
Giving the local Syrians and Arabs their own airport is major NO-NO to me. Why are we encouraging recolonisation by invitation? Antiguans and Barbudans get wise. Open your eyes. Whatever is to be trafficked via this new terminal should be handled through OUR main terminal for our benefit and security. Within the last few years we have witnessed an explosive rise in the number of these peddlers – fast food (especially schwarma and of all things, pizzas), Tyre bosses ( practically every Tyre shop in every nook and cranny in Antigua is owned/operated by these people, and perhaps in conjunction/collusion with the ever increasing Chinese population, so-called toys, gifts and housewares of the cheaper and, in some cases deadly varieties.
People stop allowing ourselves to be distracted by inconsequential reðvs blue “warfare” and begin to agitate those issues currently in the making but which has the very likely.potential of destroying, replacing and reducing us to being duspossessed vagrants in our own land of our birth. Mr. PM, we understand your fight with Sandals and the rest of them bastards but please understand that thereis much unease beneath the service and YOU HAD BETTER TAKE HEED!

Again and again Antigua is being sold out to people who do not care for us ,but we are still giving them part of our country to do as they please, for what? money. . Do not forget the Chinese who have their own little country within our Country. They will also regulate themselves without any intervention from the country they are living in, Antigua. Even the jackasses have more common sense. We will sell our souls to the devil for the love of money.
