One Man Pleads Guilty to Mill Reef Club Robbery

Rickardo Bussawan has pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated robbery involving three elderly victims at the exclusive Mill Reef Club, with his co-accused Delon Wills denying the allegations and a third suspect, Marlon Carr, yet to be arraigned.

The robbery occurred on April 6, 2022, targeting James and Elizabeth Lewis, a couple in their 70s, and their friend while they were socializing by the pool around 10 pm.

Three masked men wearing gloves and carrying knives allegedly accosted the group, restraining them with duct tape and systematically stealing valuables.

The criminals made off with an extensive array of stolen items, including expensive jewelry valued at US $10,000, multiple electronic devices such as iPhones and iPods, a black-handled chef knife, a curling iron, and over US $1,100 in cash.

After binding and locking the victims in a bedroom, the perpetrators fled. The elderly victims managed to free themselves and promptly reported the incident to police, which initiated an investigation leading to the suspects’ arrests.

High Court Justice Ann-Marie Smith has scheduled Bussawan’s sentencing for January 17, 2025.

A case management hearing set for February 3, 2025, will address the remaining charges against Wills and Carr, with Carr expected to enter a plea at that time.

  1. Bussawan?????? Ah who he???? High time to pit an end to the seemingly unregulated importation of scum to our shores. We have enough ,too much, of our own already. So what happen to all that so-called tight security the MRC is reputed to have? To get work as a temporary grasscutter in their paradise, one is subjected to minute scrutiny including police checks, references etc. All this noise and nonsense on what was once a quiet, respectable, pristine island. Smh.
