VIDEO: PM Browne and Governor General and Spouses Exempt from UK ETA Requirements

17 December 2024 - 05:05

From January 8th, 2025, holders of Antigua and Barbuda passports will require an ETA to travel to the UK, even if they are in transit to another destination.
As we hear in this ABS interview with Karen Mae-Hill, the High Commissioner for Antigua and Barbuda to the United Kingdom and member of the Commonwealth’s Board of Governors, the Electronic Travel Authorization is not a visa.

She said even with an ETA, which takes about three days for approval, one can still be refused entry into the UK.

  1. Well sooner or later we will all have to pat a price for entering in another man’s domain. Antigua has visa requirements for some countries and so this shouldn’t be an issue. It’s not a visa and as the lady said it take 3 days for approval. This is not as bad as the US where you have to catch a plan to get a visa that you usually don’t get anyway

  2. Even if we are transiting to another country? Yet the PM and GG spouses are exempt..I wonder if I am related to either?
