Mishkah John, 33, of Yorks, has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison following his appearance in the St John’s Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

He is facing murder charges related to the December 16 shooting death of Javaughn Joseph outside a nightclub on Redcliffe Street.

Joseph, from Jennings, was taken to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive his injuries.

Additionally, another individual was wounded in the incident. John had been detained last week for questioning prior to the charges being filed against him.

He is set to return to court on March 17, and Magistrate Dexter Wason oversaw the proceedings. This incident marks the country’s last homicide case for 2024.
