The Ministry of Trade has confirmed that one of its employees was violently assaulted this morning.

The victim, a driver employed by the ministry, sustained chop wounds to his back and hands when he was attacked by two unidentified men.

The exact motive for the assault remains unclear, adding to the unsettling nature of the event.

Following the brutal attack, the injured man was swiftly transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.

Fortunately, his injuries are described as non-life threatening, allowing for a cautious sense of relief.
