Strengthened Safety Protocols Unveiled at Harrison Center ABICE
The Ministry of Education has announced the rollout of enhanced security measures at the Harrison Center of the Antigua and Barbuda Institute of Continuing Education (ABICE), strategically located at Tomlinson’s.
In a detailed statement, the ministry outlined that these new initiatives are fundamentally aimed at prioritizing the safety and welfare of all students, faculty, and staff who frequent the facility.
In response to the evolving global and regional security landscape, the Ministry has conducted a thorough review of existing security protocols within educational institutions.
As part of these advancements at the Harrison Center, students arriving at the facility will now undergo thorough searches performed by trained security personnel using metal detecting wands, along with upgraded access control procedures designed to bolster entry protocols.
Minister of Education, Daryll Matthew, underscored the critical importance of establishing a secure and conducive learning environment. He affirmed, “The safety of our students is non-negotiable. Education can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and security.
