Villa Resident Charged With Possession of Cocaine

Police arrested and charged 35-year-old Addis Joseph of Villa with unlawful possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to transfer.

Joseph was found with the Class A drug while sitting in his vehicle near the General Post Office on High Street, around 3:30 am on Monday, January 20.

Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department were on mobile patrol when they saw him acting suspiciously and carried out a search on his vehicle.

He was taken into custody and charged.

Meanwhile, police executed a search warrant at a home in Potters on Monday and found a quantity of cannabis and hashish.

One male suspect was taken into custody.

He is assisting the police with their investigation.
