Winner to be announced today for Caribana slogan competition

3 February 2025 - 08:23

As preparations get underway for Caribana 2025, the public will have the chance to choose the slogan for this year’s festival.

Caribana is a festival where Barbudans celebrate their culture.

The sister isle’s annual extravaganza, held over the long Whitsun weekend, comprises several days of festivities.

Chairman of Caribana 2025 Matthew John revealed that they have already received over 75 entries thus far.

“This year, we kind of opened up ourselves. This year is going to be hot. Anyone can participate in this slogan competition,” Matthew said.

This competition will now be an annual event leading up to Caribana.

The committee will now have to choose which slogan will be the successful theme for Caribana 2025 as the deadline for submissions was on Sunday February 2nd.

The winner will be revealed today. The winner will get a season pass for the festivities.

An extra day has been added to this year’s event.

A grand show ‘Caribana Glow Night’ will open Caribana 2024 on June 4th. The following day will be the opening parade and Teenage Pageant. June 6th will be the queen show, June 7th, the beach bash and international show and fishing competition.

The next day will be the Caribana Classic Horse Race, jouvert and the calypso/soca show.

It will culminate on June 9th.

  1. Antiguans should boycott CARIBANA 2025. You could find better things to do right here in Antigua or take trip over to neighboring Montserrat or St.Kitts and Nevis. Celebrate with REAL brothers and sisters. No need to sleep with the enemy!
