Police on the scene where Mega was shot in Grays Farm

A young man known to his friends as Mega was shot in Grays Farm moments ago, creating a scene of shock and confusion in the community.

Antigua.news arrived at the crime scene, where witnesses recounted the details of the incident.

According to a close friend, Mega was seated in his customary spot—an alley at the rear of the Perry Bay Supermarket—when a masked man approached him and opened fire.

The Alley where Mega was sitting

“The man usually sits down in his little chill spot every afternoon,” the friend explained, visibly upset. “A guy wearing a mask just came up to him and shot him before running through the gate.”

The friend continued to express disbelief over the attack, emphasizing his view that Mega was not involved in any conflicts that might lead to such violence.

“I don’t know Mega to be tied up with anyone. I don’t understand why they would shoot him like that. When he got hit in the leg with the first shot, he exclaimed, ‘Ah, shot mi get shot!’ It was then that we realized he had also been struck in the back, as blood was coming from there.”

Emergency services quickly arrived on the scene, and Mega was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center for treatment.

As of now, his condition remains uncertain, leaving friends and family anxiously awaiting news.

Local police have cordoned off the area and are actively interviewing eyewitnesses in hopes of gathering more information about the suspect and the motive behind this act of violence.

  5. Must be gang initiation season where senseless crimes are committed as initiation. I don’t know what else it could be given the number of crimes that have occurred in such a small time span. This nonsense has to stop.
