Customs Officer Zorina Benjamin

Delon Charley, the man accused of killing Customs Officer Zorina Benjamin is set to appear again in the High Court on Friday, February 21, for a hearing regarding his case.

Charlery has been charged in connection with the tragic death of Benjamin, a mother, which occurred over three years ago.

Charlery’s lawyer, Wendel Alexander, indicated that he plans to pursue a specific strategy but needs to examine video footage related to the case before proceeding.

Alexander received a pen drive from the Director of Public Prosecution containing essential evidence, which he has begun to analyze but has not yet finished reviewing.

Zorina Benjamin lost her life on November 22, 2021, with authorities finding her body at her home in Golden Grove.

The investigation revealed she had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Following her death, Charlery, who was in a relationship with Benjamin, was apprehended and charged.

He has remained in custody at His Majesty Prison since his first court appearance.
