No Vending in the vicinity of the new public Cemetry on Sir Sidney Walling Highway

The Development Control Authority (DCA) is reminding the public that vending is strictly prohibited in the area along the Sir Sydney Walling Highway, near Neverland Amusement Park, the new Public Cemetary, and the ADFA Technical Training Grounds.

These locations have been deemed highly dangerous due to frequent vehicular accidents, posing a serious risk to both vendors and Motorists.

Despite multiple warnings and notices, unauthorized vending continues to arise, particularly on weekends. Our records at the DCA show that while notices are issued and vendors vacate, other individuals quickly occupy the same spots, continuing the cycle.

For the safety of both vendors and the public, vending at these locations must cease immediately.

Vendors seeking a safe and regulated space to operate are encouraged to contact the Lands Division; Which can assist in securing an approved location that aligns with legal and safety requirements.

DCA officials will be actively monitoring the area to enforce this restriction. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe.

For further information, please contact the Development Control Authority at telephone # 468-5500 or 468-5517

  1. To the venders it’s all about the money, not safety and then when they get damage they blame every body but themselves..do the right thing, people. In other Caribbean countries you can’t just set up shop anywhere you like . Why do you want to do it here?

  2. Thank you DCA.
While I understand that everyone has to make a living some people just feel they can set up shop anywhere.
    And it’s usually some shabbiness
