Senator Phillip Shoul has been appointed as the new Vice President of the Senate, replacing Rawdon Turner.

The announcement was made this morning by Senate President Alinicia Williams-Grant during a press briefing.

Turner, who held the vice presidential position for only a few months, stepped down following his election to the Lower House as the Member of Parliament for St. Peter. His transition marks a shift in his political career, allowing him to take on new responsibilities in the Parliament.

Williams-Grant expressed confidence in Shoul’s ability to navigate the challenges ahead, highlighting his experience and vision for the Senate.

As the new Vice President, Shoul will play a crucial role in facilitating discussions and fostering collaboration among senators in the pursuit of effective governance.
