Almost one million dollars’ worth of cannabis was seized at V.C. Bird International Airport on Tuesday.

A joint drug operation between the police and customs officials resulted in the seizure of 119 vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis at the airport cargo shed.

The controlled substance is valued at $708,000 and weighs 118 pounds. The shipment was taken to the police station for further investigations.
